Based on our positive experience of combining train and bicycle journeys, and experiences from countries like the Netherlands and Germany, in 2012 DSB decided to contribute to the establishment of an urban and commuter bike share concept. Such a system should be used by, and benefit, public transportation customers.
The combination of bicycles and the train is very effective because it reduces customers' total travel time from door-to-door.
With the newly launched solution we have managed to create an attractive and consistent bicycle share concept that offers customers a better and more integrated travel experience. DSB expects that the new system improves mobility throughout the region, relieving congestion in the city and increasing passenger growth as it becomes easier for our customers to get to and from DSB stations.
DSB binds Denmark together and is a proud partner in this new bike share concept that helps provide our customers with a convenient, comfortable and continuous journey.
